Terms of Reference

To set and/or approve targets for the staffed office in relation to the provision of careers support.
To provide career support to society members through assisting the society’s staffed office in the:

Publication of an annual Careers Guide
Regular publication of online information relating to careers
Organisation of an annual careers seminar – ‘Working in the Investment Profession'
Scheduling of regular careers discussion events and social events at locations throughout London and elsewhere in the UK

To assist the staffed office in the creation of materials for employers promoting the value of society membership and the CFA, ASIP and IMC designations.

To monitor the society’s engagement with leading employers and recruitment agencies

To ensure the inclusion of questions relating to the provision of career support in the annual membership satisfaction survey and to run additional surveys as necessary to identify areas of value for the society’s membership in relation to career support.

To monitor the performance of the eFinancialCareers job site and to identify additional ways to generate revenues from career support activity

To review all policy issues relating to career support.

The society does not provide careers advice on an individual basis.
