What if I have a disability?
If you require a reasonable adjustment, such as additional time to sit the test (e.g. for dyslexia), or a
particular test-centre environment (e.g. for wheelchair access), you should notify the society
before scheduling your exam.
How do I notify you of my requirements?
Candidates wishing to apply for special dispensation for reasonable adjustments
should write to the society's Director of Education at the earliest
opportunity, and ideally at least a month before they wish to sit their exam:
- detail the reason that a reasonable adjustment is being requested
- provide suitable supporting documentation from a doctor, educational
psychologist or other relevant specialist

What do I do when I get to the test centre?
Check in with your photo ID. The system
will already have a record of your requirements and the agreed
arrangements will be in place.
What if I need to take medication during the test?
Bring your
medication to the test centre and explain your requirement on check-in. By raising
your hand during the test you will enable the invigilator to assist
you. If the procedure is likely to be complicated or time-consuming,
you should treat this as an examination access requirement, and
register for the test using the special procedure outlined above.
