Test centre arrival and check-in
It is important to arrive at your test centre
at least 15 minutes before the
scheduled start of your test. If you arrive after this time, you will not be admitted and you will have to organise any re-sit examination at your own cost.
Identification
In order to take the examination, you must present one of the accepted forms of identification:
- a valid, signed national passport, OR,
- a valid, signed UK photo drivers licence, OR,
- a valid, signed UK photo provisional drivers licence.
Please note that European photo identification cards and non-UK drivers licences are not currently accepted as a form of identification.
Important: If you do not bring an acceptable identity document you will not be
permitted to take the test. You will have to re-register and pay for a new test
slot on another day, this time bringing an acceptable identity
document.
The name on your
identification must exactly match the name you
provided when you registered for the IMC. The test centre staff have no discretion to waive or vary the identification rules.
If you think you will not be able to present the appropriate identification on the day of your exam, please contact Education Manager,
Cindy Sharman, well in advance of your exam.
At the test centre
- Upon arrival at your test centre, you may have to press a buzzer at the door, which will be clearly marked with the name of the test centre.
- You will then enter a waiting room with a reception desk to check in.
- You will be asked to present a print-out of the Pearson VUE confirmation email.
- The check-in agent will confirm your identity and provide you with further instructions.
