CFA UK |
CFA UK is recognised by Government and opinion formers as an independent commentator on key investment related issues. With some 6,000 individual members to represent, it is almost impossible to fully reflect all their views or to advance positions with which everyone is entirely comfortable. Nonetheless CFA UK Regulation Advocacy Committee has a sound track record on regulatory issues and has recently commented on the FSA's proposals to review the approved persons and training and competency regimes, the NAPF's discussion paper on pension scheme governance.
To identify and monitor key regulatory and best practice developments likely to affect CFA UK members.
To investigate and assess relevant developments and determine whether – with Executive Committee approval – CFA UK should undertake any necessary action.
To consult CFA UK members when possible in developing and promoting the Society’s regulatory advocacy positions.
To draft and request Board approval of advocacy papers and other materials covering regulatory and best practice developments.
To prepare and publish comment and guidance for members.
To assist CFA UK in providing a report on the committee’s activity – and on key developments – for its membership, both online and through Professional Investor.
