Board and Committees
CFA UK has a Board of fourteen Regular Members, elected by the membership , and a small administrative staff headed by a Chief Executive. The Board is supported by a number of committees, as shown below, and participation in the work of most of these committees is open to members of all classes.
Several Board and committee members also serve on CFA Institute committees.
Oversees the day to day running of the Society, and advises the Board on policy.
Comments on proposed legislation on accounting issues as they affect the investment profession.
Responsible for scheduling regular career discussions.
Advises the Board on education issues.
Has responsibility for the IMC syllabus and other aspects of the IMC examination.
Comments on regulatory consultative documents with emphasis on the implication for the individual member.
Vets applications for fellowships.
Responsible for public relations, website and other communications.
Advises the Board on membership issues, including social events.
Organises seminars and discussions.
Plans a programme of professional development and social events for members in Scotland.
