Confirmation

Candidates will be sent an email shortly after paying for the examination or examinations, confirming their candidate number, booking reference number, and login details for the invigilator’s website. Candidates should check that they have received this email, and that it contains all the information needed to schedule the examination.

Scheduling the Examination

Scheduling and delivery of exams is managed by CFA UK's delivery partner, Pearson VUE.

48 hours after the receipt of the confirmation email, candidates will be able to access the Pearson VUE website using their username and password. They are then able to choose the venue, date and time of their examination or examinations.

Candidates must schedule and take the examination within 1 year of the payment being made. Any registrations that are not used within a 1 year period will become void. No refunds will be available under any circumstances.

Candidates will be sent an email by Pearson VUE to confirm the location, date and time of their examination or examinations. Candidates should check that the details are correct, informing the society immediately of any errors.

Cancellations

Under no circumstances can registration fees be refunded.

Postponements

Candidates are able to postpone or reschedule an examination sitting by contacting Pearson VUE directly, up until 48 hours prior to the exam time. The postponed examination must then be sat within a 1 year period of the payment, or the registration will become void. Refunds will not be issued.

Identification

On the day of their examination, candidates must provide photo ID (passport or UK drivers licence) bearing exactly the same name as their examination registration. The examination centre is within their right to refuse access to any candidate who cannot provide this.

Cheating and Malpractice

The society takes cheating and other forms of malpractice seriously. Should a candidate be found to have cheated in the examination, their result will be withheld and they will not be allowed to retake the examination without the society’s express knowledge and consent.
