UK Society of Investment Professionals - CFA Institute

Why join?

Membership of the CFA Society of the UK (formerly UKSIP) has something to offer all those who work in investment analysis, fund management and related disciplines in the UK, whether they are beginning their careers or have reached senior positions.

For those who have already established their careers, membership of CFA UK also includes membership of the CFA Institute, with publications, support services and world-wide reach. Here in the UK, the Society's journal, Professional Investor, and the comprehensive professional development programme ensure that members can keep themselves abreast of the la test developments in techniques, legislation and market practice. The Society can help in career management too, providing networking opportunities and information about current vacancies.

For those studying for the CFA programme, student membership provides access to a structured candidate support programme and the opportunity to meet, and learn from, others in the industry at all levels.

For those who have passed the Investment Management Certificate (IMC), Society membership and participation in its events, can help to demonstrate to employers a commitment to high standards of professional practice in investment analysis, portfolio management and related disciplines. CFA UK's membership services and networking opportunities can also help those members develop their careers.

Membership of CFA UK also provides the opportunity to meet other like-minded professionals and to give back to the investment community through the voluntary contribution of time and skills to training courses, seminars and debates, and by serving on Society committees.

Membership of the Society and of the CFA Institute thus has many benefits - but there are obligations too - for every member of both must make an annual commitment to observe the highest standards of integrity and professional conduct required by the Institute.
