Why volunteer

Being a volunteer is fun. You will meet a diverse group of professionals and work with them towards a set of common goals. You'll have the opportunity to learn in depth about your society, the CFA Institute and other professional bodies.

Volunteering Opportunities

We have a wide range of opportunities open for potential volunteers, to suit your interests, skills and time availability.

Other factors which will affect your choice of volunteering will include your area of employment, your location, your role within the firm and your ambitions.

We recognise that volunteering needs to fit comfortably within the other aspects of your daily life, not least your work and your family. There may be times when you want to step up and other times when you need to step back. That’s why we have developed a view of the Volunteer Journey to help you plot your path towards success.

Orientation Sessions

Once we receive your application, we will invite you to come to one of our Orientation Sessions. At the session, you will learn more about volunteering with the society, how we match volunteers with opportunities. We also give you the chance to ask questions, express a preference and to tell us a little about yourself, so we can be sure of making the best connection and finding the best fit.
