How do I renew?

Local members can renewal their membership through CFA UK Portal. Simply follow the steps below. Simply follow the steps below:

How much does membership cost for the period 1 July 2026 to 30 June 2027

Local membership costs £150 and your membership will be valid until 30 June 2027. 

Why is our membership fee increasing?

For the coming membership year (1 July 2026 – 30 June 2027), dues will increase by £5 (3.4%), bringing the total to £150. This adjustment reflects inflation and helps us continue delivering high quality events, learning and member support, while recognising increases in the costs of living. We remain committed to keeping membership excellent value for money. This increase is crucial to maintain our top-notch career-boosting programs and opportunities such as the 

 

When will the new fees take effect? 


The new fees increase will take effect from 1 July 2026. Our membership year runs from 01 July to 30 June annually.

Is VAT charged on membership renewals?

No VAT is charged on CFA UK membership.

Can I claim back tax on my membership dues?

The CFA UK membership fee for the membership year ended 30 June 2026 was £145 which can be used as a tax deduction in a UK income tax return, in line with HMCR guidance

Regular and Affiliate Members Renewal FAQs


How do I renew?

If you are a Regular or Affiliate member you must renew your CFA UK membership via your CFA Institute account. 

  • Log into your CFA Institute account 
  • File your Professional Conduct Statement 
  • Pay your CFA Institute and CFA UK dues

How much does Society membership cost for the period 1 July 2026 - 30 June 2027

CFA UK Society membership costs $205 (or $102.50 if you are on professional leave, or over 70) and your membership will be valid until 30 June 2027. 
This fee is payable in addition to the CFA Institute membership fee when CFA UK is selected as your local Society.

Why is our membership fee increasing?

Your CFA UK Society membership dues for the coming year will be $205 (or $102.50 if you are on professional leave, or over 70). 
CFA UK has increased its dues by 3.4%, from £145 to £150, in line with inflation. The base dues are set each year in GBP Sterling, which is CFA UK’s operational currency. CFA UK then prices Regular and Affiliate dues in US Dollars, as CFA Institute collects those dues on behalf of CFA UK, based on a fixed annual FX rate provided[KH4.1] by CFA Institute.

This adjustment helps us continue delivering high quality events, learning and member support, while recognising increases in the cost of living. We remain committed to keeping membership excellent value for money.

Do you offer a reduced rate for membership?

Current or past Regular and Affiliate members who are not currently working full time in the industry might be eligible for a reduced membership fee of $102.50.

Is VAT charged on membership renewals?

No VAT is charged on CFA UK membership. 

 

Can I claim back tax on my membership dues?

The CFA UK membership fee is on the list of HMRC approved professional organisations which enables members to claim tax relief on the fee they pay, via their UK tax return, in line with HMRC guidance

The Regular and Affiliate CFA UK members fee was £145 for the membership year ended 30 June 2026, which translated into a fee of $180 US dollars for collection by CFA Institute on behalf of CFA UK.
