Nicolas Girod CTO, ClearBlue Markets
Nicolas Girod has nearly 20 years’ experience in carbon markets. He honed his deep understanding of the integration of energy and carbon markets during his time working at banks and utilities as a risk manager, market analyst, and trader. He developed ClearBlue Markets’ in-house analytical models that now form the basis of the market research division which covers EU-ETS, WCI, Canadian Carbon Pricing, RGGI, Low Carbon Fuels, and Voluntary Offsets.
Nico shares his market expertise and provides capacity building to stakeholders in new emission trading systems, such as the Latin American carbon markets. Nicolas oversees the research team at ClearBlue Markets and engineered the AI-enabled product pricing and portfolio management platform. Under his leadership, ClearBlue Markets has won a number of significant industry awards.
