This virtual event has been jointly organised by CFA UK’s Social Activities working group and Real Estate working group. 

How will long-term secular and macroeconomic trends influence commercial real estate post COVID?

CFA UK’s Social Activities working group and Real Estate working group would like to invite you to join them for an evening of discussion and networking on the topic of real estate.

The session will start with an overview on commercial real estate in Europe given by Ramzi Kattan and Yvo Timmermans, CFA. They will provide an expert perspective and discussion points on office, retail, logistics and residential sectors.

There will be opportunities for you to put your views across on a poll and in the breakout rooms you can discuss the topic in detail with your peers and with experts hosting.

This is a great opportunity to learn about, or further your understanding of, the real estate market and, after recent turmoil in this sector, join other CFA UK members for a discussion and networking evening.

Speakers

Ramzi Kattan, Vice President – Senior Analyst, Corporate Finance Group, Moody’s Investors Service

Ramzi Kattan is a Vice President in Moody’s Corporate Finance Group in London covering real estate, business and consumer services and other sectors.

He joined Moody’s in 2011 and before that spent 15 years working as a credit and underwriting specialist in various European banks.

Ramzi earned his MSc in real estate investment from the Cass Business School. He also holds an MSc in finance and a BA in general management, both from Boston College.

Yvo Timmermans, CFA - Portfolio Manager, JLP Asset Management

Yvo Timmermans, CFA, is portfolio manager at JLP Asset Management, a global real estate securities firm, and has over 14 years of investment experience spanning a wide range of developed and emerging markets. He is currently based in Amsterdam and oversees JLP's investments in EMEA and LATAM.

Yvo graduated from the University of Maastricht with a master's degree in economics and international management and recently completed an executive degree in global macroeconomic challenges from the London School of Economics. Yvo is a CFA charterholder.
