This is an in-person networking and knowledge sharing opportunity.
This event has been organised by CFA UK's Soft Skills working group.
We all know that networking is good for your career. But how many of us are excited at the prospect of networking?
Emerging out of the pandemic, the value behind connecting with people is being rediscovered. Although undoubtedly important, networking does not come naturally to many, and often people feel defeated even before starting to build relationships in earnest.
However, help is at hand – a simple tweak of the mindset combined with a tried and tested toolkit of a great networker can give even the most reluctant person the confidence to develop these essential skills.
In this session, Alisa Grafton will reflect on the most common thoughts that hold people back, as well as share the practical and tactical approaches to building effective and longstanding professional relationships. At this interactive presentation, attendees will have an opportunity to put into practice the learned skills.
Alisa's book, Great Networking: the Art and Practice of Building Authentic Professional Relationships will be on sale at this event for a special discounted price of £9.99 (RRP £12.99). Purchase can be made via card payment.
