In today’s saturated venture capital landscape, distinguishing exceptional funds from the rest has become increasingly challenging. With every fund marketing itself as a top performer, investors are left navigating a sea of similar-sounding strategies and performance claims—raising the critical question: How can they truly separate signal from noise?
Join Steve Balaban, CFA, the contributing author for the alternative Investments section of the CFA® Program, for this engaging session that will guide investors on how to identify top-tier venture capital funds and spot the differences among them.
The session will include:
Assessing the Venture Capital Team: Have the skills to identify leading venture capital teams, a key capability for selecting high-return early-stage investments.
Exploring the Fund's Investment Strategy: The secrets to asking the right questions to identify what truly makes a fund's strategy unique.
Decoding the Investment Process: Better understand the nuances of the various venture capital fund processes from deal sourcing to due diligence, to value creation and exit.
If you're allocating capital, advising clients, or building your own fund, this session will sharpen your ability to spot quality in a crowded VC landscape.
