Speakers

Monica Filkova, CFA, Chair, CFA UK’s Certificate In Climate And Investing Panel

Monica Filkova, CFA, chairs the Certificate in Climate and Investing Panel, convened in 2020 to advise CFA UK on the development of a climate-focused qualification, and is part of the ESG Panel, which advises on the CFA Certificate in ESG Investing. 

Monica's areas of expertise are climate finance and sustainable debt. She was Head of Market Intelligence at climate finance NGO Climate Bonds Initiative 2017-2020, and then Director, Sustainable Finance at Fitch Ratings. Prior to that, Monica was in property finance and debt capital markets. Monica holds a masters of management from Cornell University and a BBA from AUBG.

Jim Totty, CFA, Sustainable Private Equity Specialist

Jim Totty, CFA, has 28 years experience in sustainable investment and technology, gained through 20 years in private equity, and earlier advisory and academic work.

He was previously at Citi Alternative Investments and Earth Capital, and before moving into private equity he was a management consultant in the energy and utilities group at PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Jim has a PhD and an MSc in physics from Imperial College London, holds an MA in physics from the University of Cambridge, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst.
