Wednesday webinar at one: Why Elon did a U-turn

Wednesday 28 July 2021 | 13:00 - 13:40 | Webinar

This webinar has been organised by CFA UK's Future Of Money working group

Tesla’s dramatic reversal on Bitcoin should come as no surprise given the recent CFA article, No Mr Musk, Bitcoin is not cash” by Ben Ashby and Gerard Fox. The article, which analyses the world of Bitcoin and its impact on the industry, highlighted that cryptocurrencies have significant inherent problems becoming mainstream. In this webinar, we invite Ben Ashby, Partner at Good Governance Capita, to discuss these issues while focusing on the following:

  • How they might impact DeFi
  • Why central bank digital currencies may be the real deal
  • What the implications could be for global finance

Where recordings are made, these are a member benefit that are accessed through the member-only platform, CFA UK Discover.
