Wednesday webinar at one: Intangible value - Rethinking valuation in the modern economy

Wednesday 24 September 2025 | 13:00 - 13:50 | Webinar

In an increasingly asset-light economy, conventional valuation metrics are struggling to keep pace with structural shifts in how companies generate value.

Join us for this thought-provoking webinar as we explore a redefined framework for intrinsic value - one that recognises the growing importance of intangible assets such as brand equity, intellectual property, human capital and network effects.

Drawing on research from Sparkline Capital, we will examine how AI and alternative data can help quantify these elusive drivers of performance, and why overlooking them may explain persistent market anomalies - including the underperformance of non-U.S., small-cap and traditional value stocks.

Key Takeaways:

  • Understand the limitations of traditional accounting-based metrics in today’s economy

  • Learn how intangible assets contribute to long-term value creation

  • Explore a modern valuation model grounded in both tangible and intangible factors

  • Gain insights into macro-level market dynamics affecting value investing strategies

This session is ideal for investment professionals seeking to evolve their valuation approach and enhance decision-making in an increasingly complex market landscape.
