Understanding climate change risks in the agricultural commodities market

Wednesday 02 June 2021 | 18:00 - 19:00 | Webinar

This event has been organised by CFA UK's Climate Change working group.

This webinar will tackle the ongoing conundrum of the growing world population and how this is problematic for the food supply chain. Michael von Luehrte will discuss how a change towards sustainable production will help to combat climate change. He will use the specific example of the green coffee market and asks, will you still be able to enjoy your cup of coffee in 2050?

This session will also discuss the following questions:

  • Who are the geographic winners/losers of climate change in the agricultural space?
  • What tools will help to shape the future of a climate adapted agriculture?
  • How will consumer behaviour shape the agricultural landscape?
  • How does legislation help or hinder the adoption of climate change?
  • What are the investment opportunities from climate change?

Where recordings are made, these are a member benefit that are accessed through the member-only platform, CFA UK Discover.
