Euan Munro will discuss how his personal mission to deliver relevant savings products to consumers shaped his journey from young actuary to the founder of the enormously successful GARS product for Standard Life Investments, to become the Chief Executive of the asset management arm of Aviva. Euan has recently announced that he will be leaving Aviva Investors in June, to lead Newton Investment Management.

Euan will cover:

Euan Munro, CEO, Aviva Investors

Euan Munro has announced he will be leaving his role as CEO of Aviva Investors and member of the Aviva plc Group Executive Committee in June. His new role will be to lead Newton Investment Management which, after its recently announced merger within the BNY Mellon group, will become a $150 bn global equity and multi asset investment manager. At Aviva, he was also strategic adviser on the company's AIMS range of portfolios and chaired the Strategic Investment Group, a company-wide forum that approved the investment ideas that populate these funds. He joined Aviva Investors in 2014 and has been involved in the investment industry since 1992.

Before moving to executive leadership, Euan had built a strong track record in fixed income and multi-strategy investing. In May 2016, he was named "Innovator of the past 20 years" at the Financial News 20th Anniversary Awards for Excellence in European Finance. He holds a bachelor of engineering degree in physics and electronics from the University of Edinburgh and a postgraduate diploma in actuarial sciences from Heriot-Watt University. He is also a Fellow of the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries.
