The Certificate in ESG Investing is a level 4 qualification which delivers the knowledge and skills required by investment professionals to integrate ESG factors into the investment process. The first qualification of its kind in the UK, it has been developed by practitioners for practitioners in consultation with leading firms and is recognised by the UN PRI.
The Certificate in ESG Investing will enable you to expand your ESG knowledge and stay ahead in your field.
Recognised by the UN PRI - The world's leading proponent of responsible investment
It is an independent body that seeks to encourage investors to use responsible investment to enhance returns and better manage business risks. It does not operate for its own profit but seeks to engage with global policy makers. It is supported by, but not part of, the United Nations.
The PRI works to understand the implications of environmental, social and governance factors and to support its international network of investor signatories in incorporating these factors into their investment and ownership decisions. Investor signatories agree to the six Principles of Responsible Investment – a voluntary and aspirational set of investment principles that offer a choice of possible actions for incorporating ESG issues into investment practice.
Through a PRI subsidiary, the PRI Academy, online training programmes are offered which lead to Certificates of Completion. In particular, the following online programmes are offered:
- Getting Started in RI
- Foundations in RI
- Advanced RI Analysis
The PRI has recognised the depth and breadth of the Certificate in ESG Investing curriculum by offering those successful in achieving the qualification the opportunity to apply for a PRI Academy Certificate of Completion for any of the training programmes listed above. Candidates may do this via contacting the PRI Academy directly where further information on the process and fee payable can be provided.
The Certificate in ESG Investing has been developed in consultation with practitioners from a broad range of firms. We thank all of those on the ESG working group and ESG Panel who have kindly given their time and participated in the design and development of the syllabus and exam.
