CFA UK welcome seven new Fellows to the Society

London, 04/12/2025 – CFA Society of the UK (CFA UK) is delighted to announce the appointment of seven new Fellows, recognising their outstanding contributions to the investment profession and their commitment to advancing standards, ethics, and sustainability in finance. 

 

The CFA UK Fellowship designation (FSIP) recognises leading investment professionals for exceptional service. Open to CFA UK members and non-members alike, the accolade is awarded every two years to people who are judged by the Society’s Fellowship Committee to have made an outstanding contribution to the profession or the aims and objectives of the Society                           

The new Fellows are:

Alex Edmans, FBA, FAcSS – A leading academic voice on purpose-driven business, Alex is Professor of Finance at London Business School and a Fellow of the British Academy. He is a renowned author, TED speaker, and advisor on sustainable investing, serving on boards including Morgan Stanley’s Institute for Sustainable Investing and the Investor Forum.

Mark Fawcett, OBE – Former Chief Investment Officer and current CEO of Nest Invest, Mark played a pivotal role in building the UK’s largest pension scheme from inception to over £57 billion in assets. With more than 35 years in investment management, he has held senior roles at Gartmore and American Express Asset Management and was awarded an OBE for services to pension saving.

Annabel Gillard, CFA – An expert in ethics and organisational culture in an AI-driven world, Annabel advises on building trust in digital economies. She co-founded LSE FORGOOD and has held senior roles at leading asset managers. A CFA charterholder, she has contributed extensively to CFA UK through board and committee leadership.

Will Goodhart – Executive Director of the Future of Sustainable Data Alliance (FoSDA), Will champions the role of data in tackling global environmental and social challenges. Formerly CEO of CFA UK, he also serves on the Board of the CFA Institute Research Foundation and the Impact Investing Institute.

Euan Munro – A pioneer of multi-asset investing, Euan has led major global asset managers including Newton Investment Management and Aviva Investors. Known for his advocacy of ESG integration and pragmatic transition strategies, he is a Fellow of the Institute and Faculty of Actuaries and a respected voice on sustainable investing.

Helen Thomas, CFA – Founder and CEO of BlondeMoney, Helen brings over two decades of experience in banking, fund management, and policy. A former adviser to the UK Chancellor during the global financial crisis, she is a CFA charterholder and former CFA UK board member, recognised for her insights on market risk.

Faith Ward, MBE – Chief Responsible Investment Officer at Brunel Pension Partnership and Chair of the Institutional Investors Group on Climate Change, Faith is a leading advocate for embedding systemic climate risk into finance. She has spearheaded initiatives such as the Transition Pathway Initiative and serves on multiple advisory groups shaping the future of sustainable investment.

 

Through its Fellowship programme, CFA UK continues to connect, educate, and inspire investment professionals, fostering leadership that drives positive change for society and markets.
