Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Guidance for candidates

At CFA UK, the health and well-being of our members, candidates and staff is our top priority.

We are currently working closely with Pearson Vue and monitoring all developments relating  to Coronavirus (COVID-19).

From Friday 20 March, all UK Pearson Vue test centres will close.

In some other countries, test centres remain open and full details can be found on the Pearson Vue dedicated webpage

In those countries where testing is still available, candidates are advised that you should not attend an examination if you have visited any of the Public Health England specified countries and country specific areas within the last 14 days, or if you have symptoms including cough, fever or shortness of breath.

Candidates who have health concerns related to COVID-19 and have an exam scheduled with Pearson Vue within 72 hours, are advised to contact Pearson Vue directly (phone number 0370 6095 777). Pearson Vue will be able to provide tailored advice on whether to sit the exam and possible rescheduling arrangements. Please note, rescheduling arrangements will not be possible if you contact Pearson Vue after the time and day of your examination appointment.

For those candidates studying for an IMC examination, test centre closures and social distancing measures may mean that candidates will not have an opportunity to sit their examination before the expiry of their one year registration period.

CFA UK is therefore applying an automatic extension of four months to the registration expiry date to all IMC candidate registrations due to expire between 20 March 2020 and up to and including 31 May 2020.

We will continue to monitor and may offer further registration extensions to those that may expire from 1 June onwards.
