Coronavirus guidance for candidates

Coronavirus (COVID-19) - Guidance for candidates

At CFA UK, the health and well-being of our members, candidates and staff is our top priority.

We are currently working closely with Pearson Vue and monitoring all developments relating  to Coronavirus (Covid-19).

Test centres

The vast majority of Pearson Vue test centres are now open. Please visit the Pearson Vue dedicated webpage for further information on test centre availability in your country.

In those countries where testing is still available, candidates are advised that you should not attend an examination if you have visited any of the Public Health England specified countries and country specific areas within the last 14 days, or if you have symptoms including cough, fever or shortness of breath.

Health concerns

Candidates who have health concerns related to COVID-19 and have an exam scheduled with Pearson Vue within 72 hours, are advised to contact Pearson Vue directly (phone number 0370 6095 777). Pearson Vue will be able to provide tailored advice on whether to sit the exam and possible rescheduling arrangements. Please note, rescheduling arrangements will not be possible if you contact Pearson Vue the time and day of your examination appointment.

Further information

Given the impact of test centre closures in March through to the end of May, CFA UK extended a number of candidate registrations that were due to expire. Extensions were applied to all registrations due to expire from 17 March through to the end of August 2020.

Test centres reopened from 1 June and remote proctored examinations became available from 8 June (for the Certificate in ESG Investing) and 1 July (for the Investment Management Certificate). Therefore, no further extensions to registrations are being considered at the present time.
