CFA UK Events FAQs

How do I book on to events?

Explore CFA UK Events

  • Head to our events listing page and you’ll find a list of all upcoming events
  • Select the event you wish to attend by clicking the ‘see event button’
  • Select the ‘register’ button
  • You’ll be prompted to log in to your CFA UK account
  • If you are logging in for the first time, please follow our ‘How do I login’ instructions
  • Once you have successfully logged in, you’ll complete your event booking with CFA UK
  • Check your inbox for your event confirmation email
  • Log in to CFA UK portal to view all your upcoming event bookings 

How do I view my event bookings?

You can view your upcoming and past event bookings in the CFA UK Portal. To access the Portal, you’ll need to register for an account on the CFA UK website. Please see the ‘How do I login’ section. If you have already activated your account, then follow the steps below:

  • To log in click Login in the navigation bar on the CFA UK website
  • Click your initials in the top right-hand corner of the screen to view your account
  • Click My Events in the left-hand menu
  • You’ll be able to see upcoming and past event bookings

How do I book on to an event for myself and a colleague?

When registering for an event, you can book for yourself and/or others. Just click Save & add delegate during the process each time you want to add a colleague to your booking. 

If they are a CFA UK member, you just need their email address and/or membership number to ensure they also are booked on at the member rate.

If they are a non-member, they will automatically receive the non-member rate. 

 

I'm trying to book on to an event, but the member rate is not appearing. What should I do next?

First check that your membership is correctly linked to your account:

  • Log in to the CFA UK Portal
  • Click your initials in the top right-hand corner of the screen to view your account
  • Click My Membership in the left-hand menu
  • You should see a table with your active membership and an expiry date.

If your membership is correctly linked to your account, but the member rate for an event is not appearing, please contact the events team at events@cfauk.org. To assist the team with their investigation please provide your CFA UK ID and the event you are wishing to book on to.

 

How to find your CFA UK ID

Your CFA UK ID is shown in your online account. Log in to the website and click your initials in the far right of the navigation bar to find your CFA UK ID. 

If your membership is not appearing in the My Membership section then please follow the steps in our FAQ “I have signed up to the CFA UK website but my membership record isn't appearing, what do I do next?

 

How do I book on to events as a non-member?

Head to our events listing page and you’ll find a list of all upcoming events. Select the event you wish to attend by clicking the ‘see event button’. You will be promoted to login to complete your booking.

Before logging in for the first time as a non-member you’ll need to register an account with us.

To register for an account:

  • Click on ‘Haven’t got an account? Register with us
  • You’ll need to enter an email address
  • Create a password and submit the registration form
  • Check your inbox for your activation email and activate your account
  • Log in to the CFA UK Portal to book on to events 
  • Select the event you wish to attend by clicking the ‘see event button’
  • Click on ‘register’
  • Check your inbox for your event confirmation email
  • You’ll need to log in to this account every time you wish to book an event with CFA UK 

How do I cancel an event booking?

If you need to cancel or amend an event booking, contact the CFA UK events team at events@cfauk.org
