Additional new member joins CFA UK Board of Directors

CFA UK is pleased to welcome the appointment of Weiyen Hung, CFA to join its Board 

Says Daniel Murray, CFA Deputy CIO and Global Head of Research at EFG Asset Management : “I heartily welcome Weiyen to the Board and look forward to working with him. I’m sure that Weiyen’s experience of working at a major central bank will prove extremely useful. That experience will complement well the skillset of other Board members in advancing the aims and objectives of the Society. Weiyen’s prior involvement with the Society as a former Chair of the Marketing and Communications Committee and a former Vice Chair of the IMC Panel will also provide valuable insight and perspective. Congratulations Weiyen.”


Nominees for consideration by CFA UK’s members at the society’s AGM are selected by the society’s Nominating Committee. The committee considers the diversity of skills and experience that the Board requires and seeks to represent the diversity of the society’s membership.

On joining the CFA UK Board Wieyen Hung, CFA says, “as a long-term CFA UK volunteer, I am excited about the opportunity to work with fellow Board members to serve our members and help enhance trust in the financial services profession.”

 

New CFA UK Board member biography:

WeiyenWeiyen Hung, CFA, is Manager, Prudential Regulation Authority (PRA) at Bank of England. Prior to his current role, he supervised a major global bank and several large European banks. He started his career as a European Residential Mortgage backed Securities surveillance analyst at Fitch Ratings in London.
